Is this creepy?

I get a friend request from a name I don't recognize, with no explanation or note attached or otherwise.
I go to the profile. Just one pic, profile can be read by friends only.
I send a message asking for more info about this person & why they want to friend me.
I wait a day--no answer.
I decide to approve the request so I can see the profile.
The profile requests that any friend requests must state why they want to be friends and has no other info.
The ticker says 20-odd pounds have been lost.
The diet log has only 'quick add' entries in round numbers like 100 and 500 cals.

Too creepy. I unfriended. Does it sound weird to you or am I just picky?

    I think it’s a lot of effort that I wouldn’t have expended but not too picky

    Oh, they didn’t get your message though. If you message people you aren’t already friends with, it gets dropped into oblivion.

    You know, I never found out, but since I live in an area that doesn't have wild monkeys I'm going to guess it wasn't monkeys that killed him.

    Whats creepy about it? Doesn't seem like there was any interaction from this person. Probably not friend worthy, but I don't see creepy.

    Generally speaking, if you have to ask if it is creepy... it is.
    This is MFP though so it was probably someone's wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend trying to check up on them

    Not creepy. Just... Meh...

    Some people are delightfully unaware of their own hypocrisy, and I'd guess this is just one of those people.

    This site seems to be short on creepy though. Or maybe I've just been hanging around dodgy corners of the internet too long.

    I don't think it was creepy.

    Creepy was the man who added me and asked if he could send me a picture of his one nipple. These are the people you need to be blocking.
