Sugar and fat should not cause guilt Thereās no bonus points for cutting out those things from your diet. Fat is actually necessary, and sugar is not the enemy unless itās causing you to crowd out other nutrients. If youāve hit all your nutritional targets for the day and you still have calories left, have a fun dessert that fits your calories. You worried about nutrition the rest of the day, but once you hit your daily goals, have something delicious!
For dessert, I usually have peanut butter and dip pretzels or dark chocolate in it. Fat and sugar but no guilt š12 -

All of this. Eat something you will enjoy that fits your calories. Don't give your food a moral value of "good" or "bad"5 -

Why are you avoiding fat? Normally something like nuts would be what I'd recommend in this case, and while nuts are higher fat there's no reason to avoid them but for them being high cal (which is a plus here).2

OMG! Yum. Only the Israeli family who usually setup at our Farmers market aren't regulars ... Hit and miss. Now I am wanting to eat it with their garbanzo flour pita chips.2 -
I love the outshine popsicles! Especially in the summer!0

You don't need to avoid sugar or fat unless your doctor has specifically told you to do so in order to treat a medical condition. In addition, your body needs a minimum amount of fat per day. It's not healthy to cut dietary fat so low that you're not meeting your nutritional requirements. If you have calories left over and you've hit your protein and fat for the day, then eat what you want to make up the rest.3

I just ate oreos, and i feel gross. I don't eat sugar anymore. All I'm trying to do is fill a deficit. I'm not quiet there, but close enough.5

I think that you really need to change the way you look at sugar. Sugar isn't something to be demonized and it won't make you gain weight any more than protein will. Unless there's some extenuating medical reason, there's no need to cut out sugar (and I'm assuming you're talking about added sugar here).1 -

Diabetes. It is in remission but it could just as easily creep back on me. I prefer fruit when I want sweet1 -
OP anything you want. Why no fat or sugar? Nothing should be off limits, calorie wise. There s/b no guilt for anything you desire, you have the calories.1

Personally, with hundreds of calories left, I might go for craft beer, personally.
Your choices for more calories have to come from one/several of fats, carbohydrates (of which sugar is one), protein or alcohol, because those are the only choices there are.
There's nothing wrong with sugar or fat (especially once all your other nutritional needs are served), but if for some reason you require additional nutrient-dense foods, some good options are cheese, nuts, carb-y veggies, more fruit, seeds, whole grains, rich dressings on your salads or veggies, etc.
Guilt is always 100% optional, and rarely helpful. It burns no extra calories, adds no extra fitness, feels bad, and (bizarrely) implies that food is sin, rather than simply . . . food.
Best wishes!5 -
