Protein Limit

I'm 18, 6 feet, weigh 162lbs, and do weight training every other day. How many grams of protein is ideal for me? I usually get around 100grams a day. Is that too much or too little? Appreciate the feedback!

You're at the bottom end for your recommended Protein rage.
Generally for the amount you're working out, to maintain your lean mass it's recommended to have 0.6 - 0.8g of protein / lb of body weight. (ref: Power Eating 3rd Edition - Dr Susan Kleiner)
Given that you're 162lbs at the moment, that would place you looking for between 97.2 and 129.6 grams of protein / day.0 -
For weight training, try .8 grams plus per lb of body weight. And spread your servings out thru out the day.0

Hi there! From my understanding, unless you have a kidney disease, you cannot have too much protein. The best way to figure out how much you should be consuming is by taking your weight divided by 2.2 then taking that number divided by 0.8 if sedative or 1.8 if highly active. That number is my minimum. Or you can do 8g for every 20lbs.0
