Just starting out on here. I've been logging for 2 weeks. I'm hoping to find more friends to support each other in our weight loss journey. I've decreased my portion size. I drink more water then sodas. Decided to follow the Dr. Nazarden diet plan. Its been very helpful. I emptied my cabinets of all bad foods and limited sugar. I can't do no sugar in my coffee or tea. Everything else I do. Considering the fact I'm on the verge of being a diabetic and do have high blood pressure I needed something's to change for my health. I don't eat later then 8pm at night. So far so good. I decided to lose weight back in March and lost 15lbs. But aiming to lose 20lbs before my next Dr apt in sept.

    Welcome to the community! <3

If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.

You don't need a diet plan to lose weight. You can eat the foods you love. As long as you stay at a calorie deficit, you will lose weight.

1200 calories is the minimum given for obese women.

How do you plan on losing 20 pounds before your doctor's appointment next month? Did I understand that right?

Congrats on your loss so far. Good luck with your journey!

Welcome! Good luck with healthy eating and I second the above commentors note that you don’t really need a plan to lose weight, just a calorie deficiency and moderately healthy food. I did Atkins in the past, but it was just too hard to keep up! Now I eat a bit less, limit really high calorie foods to a few times a month, and exercise at least once a day, and it’s working pretty good. And enjoy that bit of sugar in your tea-probably doesn’t make much difference 😊
