Hello my name is Julie and i'm an overeater of a lifetime. My overeating got me into such a state that 14 months ago i had weight loss surgery. However i've discovered that surgery helps but that eventually the buck has to stop with someone, and i guess that person is me.

Over the last 5 months i've shifted 25lbs with weight watchers (over the last 14 months its been 6.5 stone) but have slowly got to the point where i'm fed up of counting points and constantly thinking about food!

For the last couple of weeks i've kinda lost the plot when it comes to food, had a lot of personal stress at home which is/should be resolved in the next couple of weeks.

I've embraced exercise (apart from the last week, i've just not had time or inclination after the last few weeks shananigans) and usually aim to be in the gym or a class about 4 times a week....

MFP has told me how many calories to eat, 1200, and that with exercise should help me shift the last 2-3 stone i so want to shift....

With your help i am sure i can finish and kiss the old fat me goodbye forever... xx

You can do it, sometimes it is one bite or one step (or rep) at a time. Don't look too far down the road, weight loss is as much about the journey as it is the destination.

Your right, it's little steps and eventually you realise you are at the end....

I need to stop looking at the 'final three stone' and look instead to the next 1/2 a stone :)

    Thank you very much xx

You've done so well. Keep going, you'll get there. I'm more focused on getting fit than losing weight now (for the first time in my life!) Of course the numbers are important to me still, but I want to be toned and able to do whatever I want physically without getting breathless, a stitch or cramp!

I've only been losing weight since the beginning of july and had 4 stone 6lb to lose to get down to 10 stone - middle of the healthy BMI for me. It's now the end of august and I've lost a total of 20lb (5lb pre joining MFP). However, the weight loss has come to a standstill for the last 3 weeks. I'm not upset about this - if I keep doing the exercise and watching my calories, it will start dropping again eventually. I am 5 days into the 30 day shred at the moment and the muscle is really bulking up in my thighs - all helps with fat burning eventually, even if I'm seeing small gains/ no movement now. I too have 3 stone to lose to get down to goal now - race you!
