How do you request a friend?

I would like to request some members to be my friend on MFP, but can't figure out how to make the request. I also wish this community was more active with support for each other - many of the posts and threads are from YEARS ago! I would love to change that!

    I think I figured it out. If you go to the bars like you are switching to a different section of app (like diary, etc) go to friends and hit the plus sign. You will either need their username or email address to send an invite to be your friend. At least that's how I understood it 😆
