This is to women only....
Have any of you successfully managed to lose weight, drop body fat %, get fit while you were on the pill??
Medically I know the newer oral contraceptive pills aren't that bad. And even if they create weight gain due to water weight, it is usually not more than 3-4 pounds. However it affects different women differently.
However when I wanted to lose weight I got off the pill, and now that I'm nearing the end of my journey I'm **** scared to get back on it!!!
What are your takes on this girls?? Any of you fit ladies on the pill?

I've been on the pill for years, and on cerazette for the past year. I have to say that since I started logging here, I have continuously lost weight so I don't think the pill affects my weight.0

I have lost 11 kilos in like 4 months! BUT it has taken a LOT more effort than I am sure other people have to put in... I usually exercise 60-90 min a day, try for a very healthy diet and I usually only lose .2kg/.4lb a week- if that!0

I lost 10 kg within 6 months on the pill, so it can be done!
I certainly felt that I gained weight when I first went on the pill. I was at a healthy wieght range and when I spoke to my doctor about it he said that I needed to make adjustments in my lifestyle, but I think it was only a couple of kg that I gained from memory....
Futurefitgirl, you are so motivated I can't imagaine you will ever not be aware of your weight, and if you notice the scales creeping up, just get them back down again, ASAP! That's the trick, to get back on track quickly, not when your so far gone it's really hard to do...0 -
I suppose the key is to identify weight gain and do whatever possible to reduce it.... I know I gained weight because of eating too much and not the pill. But I guess it is my f*cked up psyche which would like to blame someone else rather than myself for this!!!!
Haha I'll get back on the pill after I'm at goal and monitor my diet/exercise properly.0
