I’m just getting old and worn out before my time and trying to be as healthy as possible, using a low carb diet , Pilates and trying to increase my steps and start walking regularly at present 👍

I know the feeling. Its been my objective too or at least to regain my health. Read all you can about the symptoms you are aware of keeping to medical sites and check the qualifications of those you read. The body is a wonderful thing and really wants to work properly its down to us to do what is right for us individually. Members of human kind can differ so greatly in what works for them, its not necessarily what works for the person next to you. One thought, if you are not used to exercise remember rest days. Our bodies learn as much on those as they do in the exercise itself, creating or using muscle memory. All the very best.

You're doing it and over time it will get easier. For me it's been a long process of changing habits and replacing them with healthier ones. Having come from addictions (drink, drugs, sugar, video games) and looked at the root cause and had a lot of therapy it all came from a lack of self esteem, beliefs that I wasn't good enough/didn't deserve happiness and also a lack of meaningful fulfillment.

Sorry if that all sounds a bit heavy but I thought I'd just share my journey and what I've learnt. The inner root cause stuff is what turned it around. After a while the health improvements have a snowball effect when you start seeing and feeling the benefits. Spending time in nature helps, also gradual changes.

Taking care of yourself to think about the passage of time is one of my motivations, too. All the best.

That’s great advice thanks and I’m under professionals currently but no one ever mentioned rest days. I’ve been told I must try 30 mins cardio a day like walking swimming or cycling as well as Pilates now 🥴

Some days can be lighter than others though. Walk or cycle at a normal pace on level ground once a week, rather than always pushing.

No not heavy at all 👍
The past 5-6 years I’ve been doing the same. Trying to improve my physical health after hurting my back I gained weight and my fitness level was zero. Every time I’d lose it and start to get more active more health issues one after another. More meds no exercise just end up back at square one.
I’ve had over a year of physio now, came off lots of meds and physically was doing loads better then I hit some more health issues and given more meds that make me fat but..
I adapt get around them and will fix them if possible 👍 stay positive!

This sounds a lot like my cycle!
    Sorry, health issues suck!!!

I gained weight after a really bad back injury, a lot of weight. Was crippled and pretty much bed ridden for over a year, physical therapy, then chiropractors, then Chinese acupuncture.

Once I could move again pain free, got on MFP, tracked, lost close to 100 lbs, felt great and maintained for years... Bam hip injury, physical therapy, lost the weight gained from injury. Bam got sick, gained, back on here, doing the low carb thing, apparently have sensitivities to them.

It's hard seeking health, when one medical problem after another pops up.

Good luck, I'm open for adds, open diary to friends and active in feed when app cooperates!
