Getting back on track

Hello! My name is Laura and I’ve been using MyFitnessPal for quite a long time.
I have gone up and down in weight for years and last year I lost 40 lbs with diet and exercise but then I also used a prescribed medication. I ultimately stopped taking it and gained 30 lbs back. I have decided enough is enough, no more excuses! So, I have started back on my weight loss mission, yet again! This time I’m focused like before and I am counting on my own hardworking, not any kind of magic pill.
I have lost 5 lbs already and am going strong.

I’d love to meet everyone and be of support and hopefully get some support in return! 😊 keep on getting healthy and building each other up!

Thanks guys!

I’m also struggling with returned weight gain - so frustrating! But sounds like you’re really committed which is great. Feel free to add me if you want an accountability buddy!

Thanks guys! I tell ya, usually I beat myself up over the whole “you could have been being healthy, but you let another day be unhealthy” thought process and wished I had stayed on track all those days I wasn’t, but there’s always time for getting it right!

One thing I need to not obsess about is the scale. Numbers don’t always help, so I need to practice non-scale victories.

    Thanks for the comments! 😊

    Welcome to the community! <3

If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.

    Buy a food scale.

    Good luck with your journey!
