All you need for what?1

Great job!1

You don’t really need weight training every day3
-
Jeff Cavaliere agrees with you.
I agree as well.1 -
Depends on your goals, I guess.
30-45 minutes isn’t going to get me ready for USAPL Nationals.7 -
Love is all you need!2

THAT ^^^
And.... Not bad at 58. It would not be bad at 21. Good work.0 -
Not sure how someone could weight train EVERY day, I'm usually too sore and need a day or two in between....0
-
Totally agree. Push pull legs rest repeat here and sessions 45 mins. I feel more than that is so called junk volume0

For better or worse, none of my fitness goals are aesthetic in nature. Doing nothing but 35-45 min of strength training a day would not be helpful.3

I do weight training 3 times a week, that is plenty! the other 3 I do cardio and then one day rest. BUT, I do as many pushups as I can in a row each day too.2

"30 to 45 mins of weight training a day is all you need."
Not if you want to set a PB for a Century ride at age 59.....4 -
On this site, anecdotes are all you need, apparently.5

And that 30 to 45 mins of weight training is going to get me ready to hike non-stop for 24 hours in the Scottish Highlands in two weeks, is it?
If only I'd known, I could have had actual free time during my last eight weekends1 -

You can if you do a bro split and only work 1 body part at a time. Not necessarily optimum or most time efficient. Personally, I like a 4 day upper/ lower split. Really depends on your goals. But hey, whatever floats the OPs boat enough to post a little humblebrag....2 -
And to think I’ve been doing all these long runs for marathon training. Silly me.5
-
i agree, depends on your goals but for most people, thats enough2

It’s not about a set time per day for me. I’m following a programme. It’s 4 sessions a week and takes however long it takes depending on how much rest I choose to take between sets.0
