I have been going to the gym 3 times a week (MWF). However, now I am thinking about going MTWTF. Do most people go 5 days a week, or should i keep it at 3 days? I can never tell what is recommended because everything contradicts itself!
thanks,

i go to the gym 4-5 days a week, but i change my workouts from day to day. Theres this thing called muscle memory and if you do the same routine over and over, you are not gonna see any changes. I do weight training M/F, Body Combat T, W/T cardio on TM which can vary from speedwork, tempo, hill workouts etc. I also run 4-6 miles after work on those cardio days
My trainer once told me that i can go to the gym everyday if i want to , but to always keep it fresh and different so you dont get bored and to 'shock' your body so it doesnt plateau by it getting use to a routine0 -
6 or 7 for me now, but in all honesty I was in great shape a few yeas back with a spot-on diet doing only strength training 25-30 minutes 3x a week... Takes discipline, but it's there if you want it.0

I workout 6 days a week and change it up. MWF are lifting and spin class, TTH are either golf or elliptical/treadmill, Sa depends on what I did the rest of the week. Sunday is my rest day but I will often get in a bike ride or walk with the hubby.0
