Starting Over (again

I lost 65lb about 2 years ago using the MFP app and just cutting calories/watching nutrients, but I gained it all back (stress eating). I'm trying again. I tried keto for a couple of days, but I can't stick to that! I've looked at Paleo, but I don't think it's true to its name. Know what I think? A true "original" diet is following the seasons, like the hunter/gatherers did: Eat what's available in the summer (fresh veggies), and, what's available in the winter would be more meat. You just have to balance your nutrients with what you have during that season. Seems simple to me. I'm going to try it anyway. Started out 2 days ago at 208.0lb, today I am 207.4, the keto got me started and broke me from wanting ice cream, so here we go!

Welcome to the community!
If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.
Whatever way of eating you choose, as long as you stay in a calorie deficit, you should lose weight.
Buy a food scale if you don't have one.
Good luck with your journey!1 -
Good for you, I am starting over again too, I was using MFP too about 1 year ago and now I am back. I think I am going to try Keto, it seems to work for some people. A co-worker of mine has lost about 50 lbs. in 5 months and she looks great. I am trying to get my self motivated to get started. I figured I'll start by at least tracking using MFP first. Best wishes on your journey too, hopefully we can encourage each other1

Hello! I get it, lost about the same and gained it back to due emotional eating mainly. Mental health is very important in this process, and when its on point, I think we all progress in a healthy way. Feel free to add me if you want a MFP friend!1

Me too! Been here done this. But I do know it can be done. I've never posted to a community before, but when I saw the title of this one, I felt that kinship. Here we are, and here we go! Let's do it right this time. I just saw a MFP notice that included the Dash plan. I hadn't seen that before, but I think that may be the right direction for me.1
