I just had my GIRLZZZZ , twins, tatas done......It's been 2 weeks. I am going crazy not being able to wo! I definitely don't feel healed enough to workout, but mentally going nuts! I have my 2 week post op appt. on Wed, and he is suppose to OK me for light cardio...walkin and treadmill basically. I am so looking forward to going back to gym! I will say that as of 4 days ago, I was winded getting the mail....so, who knows how long I will actually last at the gym....but just to step foot in there again will feel great!

Anyone out there have this procedure done? How long did you wait?

I had it done 5 years ago and I waited 6 weeks before doing any heavy workouts. I also waited 3 months before doing anything that used my chest muscles. Just make sure you listen to everything your doctor tells you and dont try to do too much too fast. You dont want to mess up the new girls! :)

    Agreed!
  • So this is going to be my reward for losing all my weight, I am probably a year away... can you tell me... did it hurt? One of my gf's said real bad but she hasn't even been through childbirth lol, the other that has said a little....
  • Wish I could afford to enhance the twins myself.

Not "hurt" like PAIN.....It was more like extremely uncomfortable. The surgery itself, was a breeze....good Ol' Anesthesia! :)
Day 2 an elephant was sitting on my chest and breathing was strained....
I took Vicodin for the first 3 days and Extra Strength Tylenol for the next few....If I over do it on a day....I feel it at night and I take tylenol PM...I have done that a couple of times.
Now I am on day 12.....A little better every day. Less and less sore. I went kinda big (go big or go home I say...haha!) so they are extremely high and tight under my muscle. It will take a good 3-6 months before I have my final results.

I think I have a high pain tolerence....I have tattoos, have 2 kids ( one that I had without any drugs whatsoever)

But all in all, it was totally worth it and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

It's a great way to treat and reward yourself! Good Luck and I hoped this helped!

The day I had my surgery done I was up walking around within an hour and craving a cheeseburger. The next day I stayed in bed all day with ice packs on my chest but still wasn't in a ton of pain. The third day was the worst because I had alot of muscle spasms but the meds they gave me took the edge off of that pain. After three days I was up moving around like normal again and within a week I was back at work. It's really not as bad as people make it seem. Just gotta commit to taking the meds and resting for a few days.
  • Jealous!!!! When I get to goal, I'd love a lift. Don't think I'd need the volume (always been large chested - even at a healthy weight). But 3 kids has them headed a little south these days. LOL......

Congrats! I had mine done 7 years ago now. It took about 3-4 weeks before I started exercising again, and I didn't do much in the arms/shoulders/chest department for a good 3-4 months. You will be able to feel what is comfortable for you.

i did stuff like powerwalking at about 3/4 weeks, then running at 6 weeksish
  • Woohoo! Glad you are feeling better! I had mine done in 2006.......... Went back to work after 5 days. . At mcdonalds. Didn't work out much back then (in shape w/o needing to exercise... miss those days!) aside from playing at the park w/ my then-3 year old. took about 2-3 mo for them to get to their normal resting place.... and a month after that I got pregnant! Let me tell you - if you get pregnant now that you have them, they will blow up like they are now as soon as that baby is born ! lol.. mine are under muscle, and i hope you are doin the exercises the doc. says to do.... i did but not as well as i could and should have, and now my right side is pretty tight! :/ I'd like to get them redone but I just finished paying them off so hubby says no!
