I track cycle rides on a Garmin connect and would like to know how I can sync this to MFP. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Install both apps on your phone, then go to Settings -> 3rd Party Apps in Garmin Connect, and link them there.

Or go to https://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps and link Garmin Connect from there.

(I looked but can't see a way of linking things from the Garmin Connect web app at connect.garmin.com).

You don't actually need to use the phone apps. Garmin lays out how to connect the accounts online (without a phone) here - https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=xyerLdidpm6dT4e0lUHAg7 . Once the activity gets uploaded to Garmin Connect, it will then get pushed to MFP.

Except connecting MFP and Garmin is no longer functional.

I have my Garmin connected to MFP. It will sync activities from Garmin to MFP even when my phone is out of range; I can send the data from my watch through a laptop, it arrives at Connect and the summary comes here. As @aokoye says.

Here's how to check whether the GC<->MFP sync is up or down: https://connect.garmin.com/status/

If you're not able to connect or sync your accounts, then I suggest contacting both MFP (not via the forums) and Garmin (again, not via their forums).
