Is it me, or does plain greek yogurt taste just like sour cream? I'm using it on top of some black beans and brown rice and it's glorious!

I like that greek yogurt doesn't have all the artificial flavors.. I do however think it is a bit tart.. So, I add honey, agave, or a pinch of splenda to take the "bite" out..

My favorite is greek yogurt with fruit (raspberries), honey, and 2 pieces of crushed up pecans.. aahhh a sinful dessert

I totally use it instead of sour cream. I even strain some of the liquid out of it and use the thicker greek yogurt to mix dips.

THANK YOU for posting this! I'm going to make this for dinner this week. What a great idea! I've only had the vanilla Greek yogurt, and I love how thick and creamy it is. But I want to try this now. :-) Pure awesomeness!

Yup, I always use it instead of sour cream! And I put it in my scrambled eggs instead of milk :)

I keep hearing about greek yogurt and it sounds so good I am going to have to try it now for sure. You can't beat something with natural ingrediants that can be used for meals and desserts.

I thought that to when i first tried it. I always add strawberries or bananas to it and it tastes like regular yogurt. The only difference is it has a lot more protein :)

I'm hooked on this stuff. Vanilla or Honey flavoured, 0% fat, they both taste amazing.

Plain all natural yogurt, Greek or regular yogurt will taste like sour cream and is a perfect, healthier alternative. I love it on baked potatoes with salsa and green onions. :)

I haven't actually bought real sour cream for anything since 2008 when I discovered Fage.

for me the Fage 0% is the best. Some of the brands have a odd aftertaste. Chobani is good too. BTW they just keep jacking the price of it up. Bought a carton today, cost me $6.50 and that was at WM, and that's the cheapest place in town to get it. It's one of my real "have to haves" though.

I don't use sour cream. Yogurt rules. Go crazy. have it with honey, have it with herbs, have it with fruit, have it with cinnamon, have it with meat, have it with crackers as a dip, mix it, yummy yummy calcium, friendly bacteria, digestion, ... superfood!

It makes great smoothies too blended with some ice, fresh fruit and a dash of skim milk!!!
  • You really can't beat how much protein there is per serving and the plain doesn't have a lot of sugar.

Greek yogurt is basically a miracle food for me. With fruits it's a breakfast, on tacos is 'sour cream', with herbs it's a dip, in a smoothie is damn good .... LOVE IT.

I used to love sour cream so much and could eat it by the spoonful if I wanted to ... but loads of calories usually prevented it. Now sometimes it feels just like that guilty pleasure of eating sour cream on a spoon, but it's GOOD for me!
