My fitness tracker has a kcal feature. Is kcal and calories the same thing? On google it said something about it being the same, or you multiply by 1000 to get calories burned.
So if my watch says 73. Did I burn 73 calories or 730? Having difficulties logging in correct calories burned during exercise or work.
Thanks for any help !

A calorie is a very small unit of energy.
When we talk about food or exercise Calories, those are actually kilocalories. The convention is to capitalize Calories when it's used in place of kilocalories but that's rarely done these days.
If your watch says 73, you burned 73 kilocalories, which would be 73,000 calories. You would log 73.1
