Hello. I will be headed back to the stress factory I call high school soon. Senior year! Any other high-schoolers on MFP?
I want to start a healthy diet, and stick with it. Does anyone have suggestions for a nutritious lunch?
Your advice is much appreciated!

Well I would say go with what you like normally and make it portable, but a good suggestion I do have if you are going to be eating school lunches at anytime would be to get a copy of the nutrition facts for your district.
These are supposed to be available upon request and deff worth any hassle to get it!
You should also be sure to get a copy of the lunch menu for the week and take it home with you.
Set time aside to map out how much of each food you should have to stay within your cal range for that meal.
Also be sure and have a list (if your not using the MFP app on your phone) Of foods that are always available to you at school to pair with your portion of school food. Like whatever is on the salad bar that you like!
My cousin does this and it has helped her A LOT! shes a Sr too!
She gets the menu on Monday and that night writes down all the info she needs for the week....she doesnt have a smart phone so she keeps a list of calories in her fave fruits in veggies. So if shes feeling particularly hungry one day but the school is serving pizza and its loaded with cals she has a very small portion and then fills up on veggies and fruits.
Hope this helps in any way! I would have loved it in school!0
