Protein usage

Is it better to drink/eat protein shakes or eating bars better before or after you workout? I can't decide.

    Both are quite pricy and not necessarily needed. I have some greek yogurt or tuna after a workout.

    Bars are usually VERY processed and high in sugar/calories

    I always have a protein rich meal (eggs, tuna, greek yogurt) after a workout.

    100% Optimum Whey protein powder is the best way to go right after a workout... protein bars often are high in fats and carbs (usually simple sugars!) compared with the ratio of protein in them....

    I make my own protein shakes with frozen fruit, almond milk, and vanilla whey protein.
    I eat them after a good workout

    carbs before your workout give an energy boost to help you out. protein after it helps your muscles.
