Is it better to drink/eat protein shakes or eating bars better before or after you workout? I can't decide.

Both are quite pricy and not necessarily needed. I have some greek yogurt or tuna after a workout.
Bars are usually VERY processed and high in sugar/calories0 -

I make my own protein shakes with frozen fruit, almond milk, and vanilla whey protein.
I eat them after a good workout0 -
carbs before your workout give an energy boost to help you out. protein after it helps your muscles.0
