Long time dieter with limited success reporting for duty. ![:3 :3](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/blush.png)
I was directed here by a couple friends who are members. My ultimate goal is to be healthier and to gain control over my body. I am so tired of being TIRED.
I don't really have a long story to tell or anything like that. Suffice it to say I've been overweight since I was in my pre-teens and everyone in my family is overweight to varying degrees. I don't want to have diabetes, I don't want to exacerbate the arthritis that I know is coming, I don't want to make life harder than it already is. I also don't want to turn to surgery to conquer this obstacle.
The obstacle being: myself. :P
So I am going to try documenting what I eat and surrounding myself with people who have similar goals (that would be you guys!) in the hopes that a supportive community is the missing piece of my personal weight loss puzzle! I am also going to try the C25K plan that one of the friends who recommended this site to me is trying, since I am totally sedentary.
I want to be healthy. I want to dance, I want to take off my shirt at the beach, and I want to have fun instead of sitting in the corner hoping no one will notice me.
Maybe I should have read the other hello threads so I knew what I was supposed to write here. Ah well. I've come too far! :P

I'm admittedly a little over excited, but... that's ok, right? I wanna go out and run like RIGHT NOW! But, I can't really run... and it's really late.0

I am glad you're excited because I am also excited! I've been seeing your posts about eagerness to run lately and all I can think about when I think of running is how bad it's gonna hurt lol.
Tomorrow before work is gonna be my day 1 run though. Eeek!0 -
