Does anyone else wanna eat the same things all the time just to avoid having to look them up in the database for entry, and confirm the cals, etc etc? Sorry, this is totally random!!

I've considered it. Especially for breakfast and lunch. And especially because of taking Alli as well, because then you have to be right on with your fat gram count.
I do eat some things quite often. But in the long run, you've got to have variety. Otherwise you won't stick with it and you'll end up gaining it all back.0 -

Yes, but then I tend to do that anyway. I get in food ruts. After a month or so I start something new and ride that wave for awhile. Right now I'm all about tomatos.....just picked and so sweet, nothing like the frankentomatos from the store!YES! Also find myself not wanting to eat just to keep from looking up and logging in.

But unless you're going to eat the same foods (which is possible) for the rest of you're life, you're not learning the proper portions for normal daily life.
It is a pain in the butt, but I'm here to learn moderation and how to live in a world where I can go out with friends and not freak about what to eat/drink.
I want to make this a life long thing and not the start of yo-yo dieting.0 -
I do that!! But, because I eat leftovers. Waste not want not. I cannot stand to waste food, but it has nothing to do with not wanting to look something up. That seems silly to me. :happy:0

Nope. I like variety, I love trying new things ... a lot of times I eat the same things frequently because they're quick and easy or my favorite foods. I don't mind taking the time to look them up or enter them in MFP because this is a tool that is helping me establish good habits and learn to be better at nurturing my body.0

I love the variety too, I love challenging myself to think of new dishes that are very tasty and satisfying yet healthy0

Knew I would get a snarky comment or two (are you grumpy much? lol) Actually, I also have to double check the info on here because many times I find it's wrong - either outdated or just plain entered wrong by the person who entered it into the database. Oh AND I eat more than one new thing a day so yeah the time adds up. AND I often eat things that aren't even IN the database so I have to enter my own food in here..0
