I sprained my ankle last week on a walk, I buckled over and it swelled up by the evening with a slight bruise thats has now gone although it still looks lightly larger than my other ankle and it does'nt hurt when I walk, but what I would like to know is how long I should wait before I can run again, its driving me mad and its only been a week.

I would wait until it's completely healed. If you don't, it could just irritate it more, you could test it out with jogging a few paces and see if it stand up to the strain. But unless the swelling is gone, I wouldn't strain it too much or you could end up waiting longer.0

My friend sprained her ankle and tried to go back to the gym too early and just made it worse.. do you like swimming? She started back doing that for a couple of weeks before going back to classes and it help strengthen it again without putting too much strain on it0
