Need motivation in the morning

I'm trying so hard to wake up early to exercise. I have the alarm clock set and I'm ready to go. but whenever the alarm clock goes off, I end up hitting "dismiss" instead of "snooze" and say "Forget it. I need my sleep..." The few times that I've managed to get up, I felt so blah that I didn't feel like I got a good workout.
How do you motivate yourself in the morning to wake up and work out?

I make sure everything is ready to go the night before. Workout clothes, dvd, whatever I need. And then when the alarm goes off, I have a little pep talk with myself about all the good things exercise does for my body, about the new clothes I like wearing. It's extremely hard, and it STILL hasn't become a habit for me yet, but everyday I just try again!0

Put your alarm on a dresser or something across the room so you force yourself to get out of bed to shut it off. That way, you have to get up, and since you're already up, you may as well hit the gym! Have some sort of snack to get you going (Fresh fruit smoothies are incredible) and head to that workout!0

I guess I am in the opposite boat- I have to be at work at 6am. So I get off at 3pm then go to the gym. It is hard to stay motivated and get in a quality workout. One thing that keeps me motivated is I put little motivational sayings all around the house to keep me reminded of my goals and that seems to help..
Good luck!0 -

My alarm is across the room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off. I also, set out all my clothes and DVD the night before, so I can just get up brush my teeth and rinse my face and get moving.0 -
I'm in the same boat...I have to be working out at 5am to get to work and my kids out the door by 7:15 am. I set everything out the night before and tell myself how great it will feel to be done. If I miss a morning i feel so upset with myself all day..that seems to help.I mean who wants to be mad at themselves everyday before you even walk out the door. It's a day by day thing...getting better. Anyone want to be friends and maybe help each other out each morning...I would love that!!!0

It's so hard when you first start out. When you don't do it in the morning do you do it later on? Because I started working out in the afternoon before doing it in the morning.
And just because your alarm goes off, it doesn't mean that you have to spring right up and go workout.
Relax for a little bit in bed and just think about your day, then get up and slowly get dressed, slowly get your things together, and slowly make your way to do whatever you plan on doing.
And before I go to sleep, I make sure I have everything I need, my room is spotless, and I go to bed at a decent hour so I can wake up with energy.0 -
I just do it!!! I just I know that this is something I need to do for myself. After I get past the groggy feeling and get into my workout, I am so glad I got up and exercised. The rush of exercise is so powerful and I always keep that top of mind when I feel blah and it motivates me to just get up and do it. Plus it frees up the very limited time I have in the evenings after work to do something more relaxing with my family or just chill and watch some tv...hahaha. You can do this, you just have to tell yourself that over and over!0

I also tell myself: I never regret working out, but I ALWAYS regret NOT working out.0
