3.30 Craving, gotta hate them!

I can feel the 3.30 food craving coming on, anybody got a quick healthy option ideas?

    1 tablespoon of peanut butter? Handful of nuts? Depending on my calories for the day, I'll have 1 slice of wheat bread with 1 tbsp of peanut butter, fills me up til dinner.
  • I have either snack a jacks or fruit, sometimes carrots.

    I usually eat an apple around 3:30. If I have the calories then I add peanut butter to it.

    Love the time difference between England and Canada (I assume since you mentioned bank holiday that you are British- I watch Corrie St LOL!)- I thought at first you were really anticipating a bad time since it is still morning here! Have you tried veggies and dip (celery with a bit of peanut butter) or an apple and a slice of cheese? The protein can help tide you over. Get lots of water in too so you feel more full.

    Plan ahead. I usually have greek yogurt with a piece of fruit.

    boiled egg dipped in salad cream.... thats my 4.30 snack today!!

    LOL, 4 would be good. I could handle that as its closer to home time.

    String cheese or snack-a-jacks are my favourite afternoon snacks =)

    Plan on the snack every day - once in the morning, once in the afternoon: fruit you can carry is the easiest! Apples, pears, banana, oranges! :-)

    Cup of tea for me (how English hey? :smile: )

    I tend to have a yoghurt about 4.30 and that keeps me full until dinner !

    I had two snacks packed for today (1 for 10:30 and 1 for 2:30):
    snack 1: 1 slice of bread, 2 hard boiled egg whites, 1 ounce of cheese
    snack 2: 1 red delicious apple

    I was supposed to have the apple for my 10:30, but I switched them around. Oh well.
  • 40g All Bran with 1 tsp LSA and skim milk. Fills me up until dinner. I am STARVING at this time and anything less (ie an apple) does not do it.
    Or of course a large chuncky kit kat. But I chose the All Bran :D

    I usually have a caramel corn rice cake, 1 tbsp peanut butter, and a ton of water but I ran out of rice cakes and peanut butter at my desk. I find that I need protein to get through the end of the day, so I'm not sure how that's going to work today (with the apple).
