This weekend I stayed with in my calories range, but I didn’t eat or drink heathy. I know it was going to effect my weight and was upset with myself. This morning I had a talk with myself and reminded me I was not perfect. I decided to step on the scales and face the music. That’s when it happened, the batteries were dead so no numbers. So this journey is more than numbers on the scale. It’s definitely a learning process!
What did help I have just started asking people to be my friend and the few I have are so encouraging. I would love to have more to help me with this journey we are all on.

If you stayed in calories, there really is no problem.
I hope you find a way to enjoy the foods you love in moderation and stop demonizing foods. All foods are okay and "eating healthy" isn't really a black or white thing. While I try to eat mostly whole foods, there are days where nothing but Oreos will do the trick.
I lost 70+ pounds and have been maintaining for 12 years and I have plenty of treat foods, fatty or sugary things. I also have lots of grains, vegetables, dairy, legumes, fruit, nuts, lean (and not so lean) protein, some fats.
It doesn't have to be either/or.
It can be all the foods in the portions and amounts that are appropriate.
I stopped beating myself up over cheeseburgers and fries a long time ago.4 -
Iv lost 8 stone so far and my food intake is still poor 50% of the time. It used to be poor 100% of the time at double the quantity. Iv only got 2 stone to lose now so I'm having to improve but I can garentee I wont be perfect, just working on staying close to calories and slowly improving choices . Good luck to you x1

Tell yourself the goal is to eat a healthy number of calories instead of "healthy" food. You do want to have enough protein and nutrients in your diet most of the time but it is not essential for weight loss.0

When the scale goes up when you have eaten "unhealthily" but stayed within your calories, it's not some sort of punishment for eating the foods you ate, it's your body retaining more water than usual because of the increased card/sodium content of your food to keep your fluids in balance.
Presumably you want to lose fat not water?
Fat loss is first and foremost about calorie intake. Good nutrition is for your health and satiety.
A healthy diet doesn't necessarily mean living on lean protein and vegetables all the time, it's about balance. It's what you do most of the time that matters, not the odd occasion when you don't do it.
