I lost 100 lbs and kept it off (using MFP) for years.
Then a tragic injury shattered my tibia leaving me with a long recovery and chronic pain/PTSD-like symptoms
I have gained back 50 lbs and I'm done using what happened to me as an excuse to lose myself.
I'm back in the game. Who's with me?

Yes! I lost 30 lbs a couple of years ago, its back plus 10. Started 2 weeks ago. Going to send you a friend request. You can do this!3 -
I lost 80 and then gained it ALL PLUS another 80 lbs. I am super unhappy about it and trying to turn it around now. I was doing really well until I got very sick. Since then it was just insane.7

I lost 59 and gained it all back plus another 28 lbs. I started in February with many ups and down. At this time, I'm now down about 30. Would like to loss the rest plus 20 more to get to my goal weight.3

Lost down to around 218 last year from 275 pounds but got side lined with an ankle injury and a knee injury and a vacation. Started again after a gain back up to 253 pounds. Currently down to 237 pounds. I have arthritis in multiple joints and need a couple of surgeries but still exercise.4

I lost about 45 lbs. managing nutrition and walking for exercise. Got run over by a car on the sidewalk, breaking fibula. Lost focus on diet. When I could walk again, I didn't. Over six months gained back all the weight. Took another six months to get back on track. Now all the post broke leg weight is lost plus a little more. About 50 to go to a healthy weight.
You can do it!12 -
In 2012 I hit 309 lbs. and started walking and using MFP, after 9 months I lost 109 lbs. down to 190. Six years later I was back up to 297 and found out I had 3 arteries with 90% blockage and due to my allergies and COPD I have about a 4% chance of surviving a Bypass. So I went on a plant based diet with fish and chicken, built my speed and distance walk-in 8 miles a day at 3 mph. I started this on 1/13/2018 on 10/5/2019 I was done to 190 again with only 6 more lbs. to loose. I am 70 years old. Yes, you can loose it again just do it.16

7 years ago I lost over 100 pounds but a change in job and depression made me gain most of it back. Im now back at it and 50 pounds less. Still have about 40/50 to lose but this time I'll get there and will stay there!5

I gained some back, but I'm down 31lbs again.5

I lost 1 stone back in July, then let myself stop tracking food, had larger portions and half a stone came back. Got it back off now and aiming to loose more!0

Oh man, story of my life! The same 20-22 pounds, up and down, up and down. And now that I'm in the 50's, it's getting easier to gain and harder to lose (yay menopause). I'd love to *really* have a lifestyle change but I just love Italian food/Greek food/other savory too much, and too much of them, too. I think I'm a carb addict.
But maybe this time will be different because of MFP. We are here to be each other's support team and cheerleaders, right?1 -
I've lost and regained the same 15lbs at least 3 times now since ultimately reaching goal in 2012 (after losing 50lbs). I'm fantastic at gaining and losing. I can't figure out moderation and maintenance...LOL
Each time I lose the weight I let myself get "relaxed" on portion sizes and weighing in. What results is tight pants and me making an excuse to just go get my "bigger pants". See, according the doctor I'm healthy. Even at my high weight I'm right smack in the middle of the healthy BMI range. But I like being lighter. But at almost 41 years old that's getting harder and harder to do.
I figure if we've lost before we know what to do. And each time I learn a little bit more about myself and my habits.4 -

Yes, I have had one attempt at significant weight loss (lost about 50 pounds a few years ago) where I gained the weight back + 10 pounds. I am about 3 pounds away from getting it all off again.4

I lost weight without actively trying when I went off of my medications but quickly regained it when I went back on them due to their crazy increase in my appetite. It is such a struggle but something I am willing to deal with to be mentally healthy.3

Lost 60 lbs but i've gained 25lbs. I want to lose those 25lbs plus another 15lbs which would have got me to my goal weight.0

I lost 45lbs. a few years back with mfp. I did petty well maintaining and then I changed jobs. I went from a very active position to sitting behind a desk. I've gained back 35 of the 45...ugh! I officially started logging yesterday and know the accountability of this site will keep me on task and motivated.0

I lost 60 pounds ten years ago, I was in a healthy weight range and within 10 pounds of my UGW and then life happened and I gained all but 20 back. I yo yo’d up and down for a few years and then I got extremely depressed a few years ago and gained another 25 pounds over my previous all time high.
I’m finally back on track, I’ve lost about 12 pounds from my highest weight and I’m feeling really motivated. I don’t want to spend my 30s obese like I did most of my 20s.2 -
Lost 50 pounds, back to goal weight. Gained 80 lbs during 2 back-to-back pregnancies (so at least I got two wonderful children out of it ) I'm aiming for a higher goal weight this time so I have 70 lbs to lose.
I guess I could have been more careful about weight gain during pregnancy but, ya know, ... life. I think if I had logged during the pregnancies that could have helped though since I'm an emotional eater and my pregnancies affected my appetite as well.2 -
I lost 49 pounds, and over the last 2 years I’ve gained back 8. I think I psyched myself out being simultaneously close to a 50 pound loss and only 10% over a healthy weight range. I also let some uncomfortable situations and people take up too much space in my head.2
-
I lost 56lbs about 5 years ago and then moved in with my other half, got a job + new friends, went out to eat a lot and took advantage of having extra money. Have gained the 56lbs back plus another 20 or so. Been back on MFP for about 6 weeks and lost 9lbs so far.3

I like to think of it as a lifelong journey with peaks and valleys, so I'm never truly starting over. With that said, at my lowest weight I was 149.8lbs. Over the course of a year and a half I crept up to 178lbs. That's when I decided to buckle down and get this weight back off. I'm now down to 164.2lbs.2
-
I lost 70 in a year but gained back 20 the next year. Working on losing that 20 plus another 20 to get to my goal. We can do it!2
-
Lost 120lbs a few years ago, gained it all back due to job changes (travel is dangerous) and moving home three times in the space of two years. Lost 2 stone again in a few months, but this time I'm focusing much more on strength training. My fiancé has already noticed the difference in muscle, so there's that at least Good luck to everyone who's doing it again! We've done it before, we can do it again2
-
Yup. Totally did that. Lost 65 lbs 4 years ago. Got back to MFP and exercising on July 10th. Of this years. Lost 20. It’s hard to get excited though about getting back to where I was. So I’ve stalled a bit.1
-
Yep, lost 37lbs then over the last 9 months gained 27lbs back after going through a medical concern that left me in a really negative head space. Still getting myself out of my funk and trying to make better choices and ease back into the lower calories.2
