    More than 2 pounds a week is not considered safe or recommended unless under the care of a doctor. And even 2 pounds is usually only recommended for those with at least 75 pounds to lose.

    As Mike said, you have ti do it safely; What I did is cut 10% of my carbs and 10 % of caloric deficit. May be this could work for you too ;)

    Wow 5lbs a week is not good, you’ll lose most of your muscle mass and losing weight too quickly is damaging in the long run. Try 1.5lbs - 2lbs loss per week. Introduce weight training to minimalise muscle mass. And lots of cardio too.
