Hi guys, I'm back at this. I used to be in amazing shape but then, you know, life. And food. And drinks... Now I'm a good 70lbs overweight.
I got engaged on Sunday night and NEEEED to lose some of this by May. We are looking at having a small wedding at that time. I know that I will regret it if I don't buckle down and lose this weight. I'll regret how I look, feel, pictures... So, no excuses. It's happening. I also have very bad low back issues so exercising will be a challenge but I know any weight off these joints will help tremendously with the pain!

Not sure why someone disagreed the OP post? Maybe they thought you meant you wanted to lose all 70 lbs by May... anyway, congrats! However slow it comes off you will at least be feeling and looking better by May if you're starting now. I've been logging for 2 months now and even though I've been losing just a pound a week I feel so happy with my progress and already feel so much better. Good luck with your goals!1

I guess I didn't notice someone disliked it. Oh well! I definitely don't want to lose 70 that quickly. I'd be thrilled with 35-40!
Great job with the losses! 1 a week is slow and steady and hopefully easier to keep off!1 -

Aww sorry to point it out! Just didn't want you to feel bad. Your plan sounds great!1 -
Congrats! Even if you only lose a small amount between now and May, you will still feel so much more comfortable and confident in yourself! And that confidence on your wedding day is what will show the most. Good luck with the planning and hope you find a beautiful outfit to wear to show off what you will accomplish!1

Congratulations, and good luck! As someone with a damaged back myself I am happy to tell you that if necessary you can do this without exercises that will cause you pain. However there is a lot of good you can do with core exercises to increase your muscle support and relieve your back. For weightloss however its more about what goes in your mouth0

Yes! So true and I've never been one to watch my eating lol. Any core exercise ideas??0

You've got a great mentality - any progress is still progress.
For the joint pain seek out a medical professional first, but progressive resistance helped me tremendously with a damaged knee.1 -
congrats & best of luck!1
