So-- I am eating what I usually have to eat actually a little more protein than usual.. but I feel hungry today.. . I don't get it.. I know it might sound kind of stupid but why would I feel hungry like this -- same activity level & basically same food intake level as I have been eating/doing for months.. now today out of no where it changes on me.... its just weird to me HAHA.

I was feeling very hungry last thursday. So the evening I went to Sonic and ordered a kid meal.... I stayed under my calories goal.

On Friday everything was normal, I guess someday we need to eat more, or more unhealthy.

It can be a temporary body need, nothing dangerous I think.

Typically when I experience this I drink more water and wait to see if I'm still hungry.
  • i usually feel hungry when its TOM or when i am lifting heavier but we are all unique and sometimes our body's metabolism is working in overdrive & therefore you are hungrier. Just eat clean and healthy and you will be fine.

Friday was my " starved" day! I drank water, ate protein, carbs, tried to preoccupy myself and nothing worked.....SO, I gave in to the hunger, ate some greasy bar food and when I weighed yesterday, I had lost three pounds! Not to mention, no hungry days since then!

Hunger is a need, just like sleep, sex...it requires satisfaction. LOL.

This happened to me yesterday! I made a really strong coffee and after 20 minutes felt ten times better, and the hunger didnt come back for a good 3-4 hours :)

Me too - today. I've been trying to distract myself. I have about 650 calories left for dinner, which won't be for another two hours, and I'm hungry NOW. Ugh. Trying water - It's just making me have to pee a lot! *sigh*

I've noticed that on days I work out heavily, I seem to lose my appetite and eat a lot less. But then the next day I'm hungry all day and have the hardest time staying within my limit. Maybe it's just a sign that your body needs more fuel to repair itself? Fortunately veggies are low in calories and really filling. That's my trick for those days.

that's the ticket for me too. Not getting sleep is BAD for me.

I read this awhile back, and thought it might be of use. Sleep is definitely linked to weight loss/gain:
