Share your story .. Women in 30’s changing lifestyle to lose weight and be healthy

I’m 37 and have lost 3st 8lbs so far with a complete change in my lifestyle.. better diet (although I cheat on a weekend with the wine 🍷) I have gone from no exercise to 4-5 work outs a week .
I’ve taken up running which I thought I was incapable of and do boxercise 🥊 which is bloody hard work ..
What have your changed ?
How are you getting on ?
Do you exercise often ?
Any tips ? vyo3ut3n1k3v.png

You've lost quite a bit, almost the amount of weight I'd still like to lose!

I'm 37 as well and I've lost 11 lbs so far by tracking my food (limiting my portions and better realisation of what foods are calorie dense) and by being more active. I exercise between 3 and 5 times a week on average, but I also try to be more active in general: more steps, not sitting still too long. My progress is pretty slow, but intentionally, since I feel it's more likely to lead to lasting results. Feeling deprived is a good way to lose motivation, so I still eat more or less what I like, but in moderation, and I exercise to still be able to eat a reasonable amount.
I mainly work out on my treadmill at home, but I also have strength training equipment which I should be using more. I need to do some research into a strength program

    It’s so hard isn’t it .. lifestyle change .
I work at a desk all day so it’s hard to get moving .
You sound like you are on track though . Well done you 👏🏽👏🏽 keep me posted on your progress x

Yes, a desk job certainly poses a challenge  I used to combine all my reasons for getting up from behind my desk (toilet break, filling my water bottle...), but now I do the opposite, I look for reasons to get up as often as possible. Also, my fitness tracker reminds me when I've been sitting still for too long!
