How bad are they?
I love to go and get the chocolate or strawberry one without the banana and made with soymilk. They put in protein and fiber powder so it is very filling and mine only comes to around 190 calories. So is it that bad? (The chocolate is unsweetened, they add no sugar to these drinks. It's just cocoa powder)

  • I was just thinking "Starbuck" - My fav is Caramel Frappuccino! - and the Grande is about 240 cals - not sure about other drinks!

I guess is not bad - as long as you don't do it every day and or go over your calories(if you are not working out).

Sorry, I am not sure if I helped much!

    Good luck!

Not every day, but a lot. And I usually don't even reach my calories. I'm just maintaining.
  • I get the chocolate banana one w/ skim milk... They are really good and has a fair amount of protein in them. I think you can look up the calorie/nutritional content searching in MFP. I say yes!!! I get one when I am in a huge rush and did not plan lunch and do not have time to stop. It is a much healthier alternative to fast food.

Removing the banana minuses 100 calories. And soy minuses ten.

Coming from someone who managed a Starbucks for 5 years:
No, the smoothies aren't that bad. They work fine as a meal replacement if you're super-rushed on time, or as a snack b/t meals that actually does contain some nutrition. You can also add extra scoopes of the protein+fiber powder if you want to up that content (note: they will charge for extra scoops if they're paying attention). However, I saw you noted that the chocolate is unsweetened - not true =) It's the same mocha sauce they use in all of their drinks. It's "semi-sweet", but not without sugar.
I used to get an orange mango banana smoothing after my weight workouts twice a week. They ended at 10am, so I was mildly hungry but didnt' want a big meal to throw off my lunch schedule. Smoothie was a perfect option! You can definitely incorporate them into a healthy diet.

I so miss vivanos! I might have to get one soon. I live by the "everything in moderation" rule, so if you have the calories for it, I say go for it!
