All of these Lite beers make baby beer jesus cry.

For f*cks sake. They don't even spell the word "light" correctly on the bottle. Not only are they dumbing down the non-beer educated people of the world by thinking they mean light in terms of calories, but they spell it "Lite". BMC = Bad beer.

There is truly a beer for everyone. I don't judge people for enjoying Coors Light, if that's what they like. Hey, I'll have a Coors Light if I'm offered one - I'm no rude guest! ;)

But, if I'm making the effort to purchase a beer for a relaxing beer enjoyment type setting, I want something with a bit more flavor. And if I like beers with more flavor, I'll find ways to make them work in my calories.

The real answer to this question is no.

True, however, I have found that Amstel Light and Heineken Light are quite acceptable.

Amstel Light is the only light beer I can stomach.

I also recommend michelob ultra amber. Pretty ok for a light beer, and only 3.2 carbs. and Guinness, if I'm only having a couple :drinker:

Bud select seems to taste better than light beers, imho, but I am typically with the other beer lovers on here and say get what you really enjoy and find a way to work it in occasionally.

And as for Octoberfest season, Sam Adams is really smooth this fall, and Newcastle has a great amber ("blood red ale") called Werewolf. Yummy.

Guinness actually has a surprisingly low number of calories when compared against the others. Only 126 in a 12 ounce bottle. And oh so tasty.

THAT made me laugh out loud!

I haven't found a light beer I can drink yet - they all taste so watery and icky. I like pale ales - Rolling Rock is my personal fave. At 132 a bottle, I have to be a bit careful about how many I have..............but am trying to keep it to a 6 pack a night!

    j/k
    :drinker:

Moosehead light is the only Light beer I can say i like.

Guiness isn't too bad on the cals & I like dark beer. I drink a lot less beer than I used to & prefer to enjoy my favorite beers when I do drink: Fin Du Monde, Oskar Blues' Gordon, & the dark Belgians.
