Go to "My Home" then "Goals" and you should be able to adjust some stuff like calories and macros. I usually end up using the wizard to fix up both my "starting weight" and the calories.1

Set the loss rate per week, choosing a reasonable amount.
For example, if you have over 100 pounds to lose, you can choose 2 lbs/week.
If you have 15 pounds to lose, choose 0.5 lb/week.
After you choose, the rate, mfp will set your calorie allotment.1 -
Also remember that you may need to adjust it again after every 10ish pounds you have to lose (assuming you have more than that to lose).
Is there a reason you are not planning on sticking with the MFP number? For most people it is a good starting place.1 -
Trying to just add calories given to me by doctor. I won’t change them until he tells to. Thanks for your feed back.2
