You and I are in the same boat! You should read my post http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/331231-i-have-hit-a-great-big-dirty-plateau-help
I found the feedback very helpful.0 -
Don't get discouraged. You are gaining muscle...it weighs more than fat. Keep up what you are doing and you will start to see progress on the scale. As long as you are losing inches...you ARE seeing progress. Keep it up0

Trying increasing your food intake by about 200 calories a week. Just enough to make your body think it has to go into high gear and rev your metabolism back up again!0

Open up your diary to make it easier for suggestions. I am in the same boat as you...I have lost 6 inches in a month and only 5 pounds. People really notice with the inches coming off!0

If you're losing inches but not weight, you are likely gaining muscle. Muscle is more dense than fat, so a pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat does...hence the loss of inches. Don't concentrate on what the scale says...focus on how you feel and how your clothes are fitting you because they are a much more reliable indicator of your progress.
Keep at it...you can do it!0 -
I agree with the others, you may also want to check your body fat %. When I'm losing a lot inches a not pounds I test my body fat to see if it is going down.Which is a good thing, then you are definitely gaining muscles.0

Why is losing inches not as good as losing pounds? I'd rather reduce my overall body fat - aka inches off any day than have the scale drop but not my pant size. Enjoy it0

I'm in the same boat also; but I actually like that I'm loosing the inches more, because that's where it's at to me. I figure once the weight starts to come off it will come off fast. Only lost a total of 8 lbs. so far; but I'm good with that, because I can see huge difference in my body.0
