Apple Watch question

When I go to the gym I usually do some strength training with short cardio in between exercises and then do a stready State cardio after I’m done strength training. Right now I am using “other” to record my strength training and then I stop it and record my cardio seperately. Does anyone think there is anything wrong with doing it this way. I read that strength training is not something you are supposed to record in this manner but with the cardio bursts I thought why not....could I be throwing off all my calorie burn numbers? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!!

You can use it for fun and motivation, but it is not accurate for tracking calories in that type of workout. It will significantly overestimate calorie burn.

But recording it also counts it as a workout, so if you are using the watch or health app to track number of workouts or consistency, then it is useful for that.
