Anybody an emotional eater that has overcame it? I've had a really rough week so far, and one more bad thing happened and I snapped and ran right into the kitchen and consumed 700 or so calories. Anyone have any tips to share to help the process of overcoming?

i definitely havent OVERCOME it but sometimes i can set mini goals to make myself feel better.
like if i've had a terrible day at work - it is so tempting to go through the drive thru and get something horrible! if i can just make myself drive past the fast food place, without stopping, that is a tiny goal that i was able to meet! then you can congratulate yourself for being strong! and that is always an ego boost
probably by the time you get home you will have forgotten about the craving too!0 -

Have you tried hitting the gym, or better yet, taking a bike ride or a run outside listening to some good music? It really winds you down and gives you some peace in a way all that food can't. I'm an emotional eater too. Sometimes this is not always doable, I know. But next time, instead of running to the kitchen, try running outside! I used to hate it but now I love it. It's so cathartic.0
