Hey Ladies based on a great idea one of my MFP friends had i thought i would start this group pick a dress in your chosen dress size mine will be size 10/12 that you would love to wear at xmas or new year this doesnt have to be your final target weight just the size you want to reach at xmas
the dress can either be one hiding in the back of the wardrobe or something special you just bought
here comes the brave part put it on (if you can) or hold it up against yourself if it wont go on and take a picture post it on here and then post your weight loss each week so we can cheer each other on then each month take a new picture in the dress and see it start to fit
hope everyone will be brave with me and have a go now i will have to find a dress in my wardrobe and get a pic loaded in the next few weeks

18/20 would be nice! It felt good when I finally could get into my smaller jeans! Now I wear them everyday since they are the only pair in that size that I own! I have a nice holiday dress in my closet that I think is a 22 or 20 so it would be great to get into it!
I hope you are able to reach your goal as well!!0 -
hi! i really like that idea! i will have to dig out that dress and do just that!
thanks for the great idea!!
Suzi0 -
yay really relieved people are interested in doing this with me lets say by sunday the 4th we will have a picture posted since asking people to do it on the 1st its a little ambitious especially for those ladies who intend to shop for something terribly expensive and gorgeous0
-
I'm in !! I have 2 dresses size 10 that it would be great to get into them.0
-
i just picked my dress from the wardrobe a gorgeous long red slinky one which bunches up at my head and wont go on but it is a little ambitious a size 10
so to get the ball rolling i am a size 14 i weight 185lbs and started MFP on friday will post my piccy of me holding the dress up against myself (coz it wont fit in the next day or so and then we can get the ball rolling not sure about giving challenges altho i know other groups do but perhaps you guys have some ideas about what we can do on here to keep ourselves motivated and support each other
so apart from weekly weigh ins (what is the most popular weigh in day for you guys?)
and our monthly dress piccys what ideas do you guys have ???0 -
Yeah, I'll give this one a go0
-
hey post both piccys the more visual motivators you have the better0

I weigh on Saturdays. I have decided that if I'm involved in stuff like this I'm just going to give the reading I get on Saturday. It doesn't really matter in the great scheme of things and I hate standing on the scales every day
My sister is in possession of the jeans I'm working towards (I left them with her because it upset me to even see them) so I'll try and get them back in the next few days.
as for ideas we could set personal (as opposed to group) challenges, e.g. I may challenge myself to swimming 75 lengths of butterfly whereas someone else might challenge themselves to cook from scratch every day of the week using gherkins in each meal and post how we get on? This may be a crud idea but although the group challenges tend to get people motivated, this style allows us to be creative.0 -
How do I post?! Ive got pics of me in them when I actually fit in them lol x0

to post a picture I load it up onto photobucket.com and put0

new year 2009
xmas 2009
I have both of these dresses but would need to get rid of my baby belly to wear them0 -
ty for that i must admit i wasnt clear on how to do it myself
also the idea of a personal challenge is awesome how about this every sunday we give our weights it doesnt matter what day you actually do weigh yourself thats personal choice but on sunday we all give our most up to date weight
and on sunday or monday we post one exercise challenge for ourselves and one food challenge doesnt matter what whether it is to avoid one particular temptation for a week etc then on sunday we tell everyone about how we got on0 -
Carina how gorgeous are you !!!! and love the dresses
dont forget to post your weight now so we can compare next sunday0 -
Indeed the blue dress is very swish!
I'm 134.2 and the jeans I want to squeeze into are something like an 80 -
Im going to weigh myself on the scales you put a pound in tomorrow lol then stick it on my fridge so will post when i know... any tips on getting rid of a saggy/stretchmarked/'tuck-in-ur-pants' baby belly will be appreciated lol x0

I have a size UK 10 Shanghai Tang dress I haven't fitted in years that I have just got back into. It's quite a small 10. I hope I still fit it at Christmas.0

I haven't got a dress in mind yet but I deffo want to be in on this. I weigh 181lb :noway:and I'm a size 16. I would love to be a size 10/12 but am not sure that is a realistic goal. I just want to look nice instead of fat and flumpy
Carina you look amazing!!!0 -
thank you btw0
-
only thing you can really do for saggy bellies carina is tummy toners like crunches oblique and regualar crunches seem to be pretty good for that area altho defo not an expert only reason i think they are is this weeks challenge for the hufflepuffs (another group i am in) is to do as many sets of 25 as you can and every morning just under my boobs and around my spare tyre is where i am feeling it hope that helps a bit0
-
I would love to join this only problem being that i got rid of all my nice dresses when I went up to a size 16, I have a wedding to attend on 1st December and i would love to be in a 10/12 by then to splash on a nice dress, I have got down to a 12/14 at the moment.0
-
well then colleen pick out your outfit for the wedding get it in the new size forget xmas just focus on the wedding and fitting into that outfit you can do it girl ust dont forget to post us a piccy of the outfit0

Weighed myself after the gym and im 9st 11lbs / 62.5kg
I want to get down to 9st but as long as im happy with how things fit the wieght isnt the biggest issue to me x0 -
i wish i was 9 stone but in reality im just aiming for 10 stone so got 3 to lose0
-
ok, so even though there's no picture yet I'm going to set myself a challenge for tomorrow:
Tomorrow I will get my skipping rope out and skip for AT LEAST 5 mins. This may sound a bit lame but I'm unsure if I'll be able to manage it. I will skip for as long as I can and bore you with the outcome.0 -
it wont bore us hun and i know you will hit your target0

this is how i'm viewing things. need to feel comfortable
by the way. i completely failed at my skipping thing. i had a very small window of time between busting out of work, going to the dentist, going to water my parents garden while they're away and then going out to paint at a nightclub. i could not find my skipping rope! i will try again tomorrow when i should have time to look for it :laugh:0 -
believe me hunny it happens im the same yesterday i had to slip a 30min workoout in between putting baby to bed and dinner and i didnt think i was even gonna manage that because i had so much to do
hope you manage your challenge and let us know when you have completed it0 -
well i set a target yesterday of doing 90mins of zumba and i actually managed it anyone else have any targets this week0
-
still no skipping rope so I'm going to set myself a goal of doing at least 3 workouts this week since I'm super busy with work and I've got to prepare for my friend's wedding too.0

sorry - double post0
