2 Pounds A Week for 2 Weeks - Starting November 10

I am just having a calorie deficit even if its really small right now. I recently regained some weight after some stress ( we were about to buy our first home and two days before closing the sellers backed out, I dealt with this by stress eating) so I am getting used to smaller portions again. Things that are really helping are drinking more water, drinking sparkling water & making sure I have tea.
I also meal prepped my breakfasts and lunches focusing on protein which seems to be doing a really good job at keeping me satisfied0 -
Thanks @laurenebargar and @cosmo30 great to hear your methods. @laurenebargar we just sold our house, but previously had 3 buyers back out (well 2 actually, 1 buyer backed out twice) so I do understand. I hope you get a better house at a better price, these things seem to having a way of working out like that.

Wow what a nightmare! Yes I hope we find another one soon, this whole process was a mess and we just unpacked everything (for the most part) so at least things are back to normal for the time being.

I had this whole thing written out yesterday, but looks like it didn't save. Basically focusing on whole foods (little to nothing processed), moderate protein, lots of healthy fats, and avoiding (but not excluding) sugars and grains.

When I eat Mexican food, I immediately ask for to go box, as soon as the food is served, and put half of my meal in it. I eat that other half later that day or the next day.
But that's just me, so far I'm not changing what I eat, just the amounts of it.2 -

Here we go... yesterday evening a bunch of us went to All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ for a colleague's 50th BDay. Tonight another get-together at an Irish Pub. Think I did OK, but the scale will tell me how it really was tomorrow morning.

Hi @LeannJeffers a couple of thoughts:
1. I've examined numerous "challenges" that have ended, and what I do is look for those people who met their goal, then I go back to the beginning of the thread and watch their journey. Without exception, every one of them had days of unexplainable weight gain, sometimes a significant amount. So don't be discouraged here with the weight gain, it's a normal part of reaching our goals.
2. It sometimes is helpful to review what went wrong if the weight gain is due to my overeating. I noramlly weight for stomach growls to eat, but maybe I waited too long and then overate a meal. Or maybe I didn't include enough protein in earlier meals, or not enough fat or whatever, so that I was craving some, and then overate it when I got it. Or maybe it's just normal eating of salt that has enabled water retention.
Either way, we're rooting for you and look forward to seeing your progress over time.2 -
The weekend went ok, but today was rough. I expect the scale will reflect tomorrow what occurs when I skip meals and resort to the abundant processed snacks available at the office.
