I usually weigh myself once a week, usually on Saturday mornings. Make sure you weigh at the same time of day too for a more accurate weight. Mornings are usually best after you've used the bathroom and things, that's when your weight is the lowest.0

I'm not sure it will help everyone, but I use this http://physicsdiet.com/ - basically you weigh yourself every day at the same time and it smooths the graph for you.
The idea is that what you end up with is a trend in your weight, rather than worrying about whatever number actually comes up on the scale that day. If your "trend" is down even though your weight is up, you're doing fine even though you ate that giant meal late last night that seems to have made you gain 3lbs overnight
It's not regularly maintained and it's a little buggy, but I find it works well for me.0 -
I just wrote an extensive blog about that! Feel free to read about it!!

I weigh myself daily and explain why there0 -
weighing yourself throughout the day is pointless, food, water, bathroom use, sweating all change your weight, for the most accurate weight the best time to weigh is first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything, preferably after you've use the bathroom, your weight will still change if your weighing every single day, so take your average for all seven days and use that as your current weight0

I may weigh myself a lot. I got the Wii fit and weigh in everyday, I put away my bathroom scale for months, because it's not that accurate. Before the Wii weigh-ins, I was also weighing myself multiple times a day especially the days right before my weight loss group. Once I took the advice I read somewhere to only weigh in once a week and I ended up gaining a few pounds and didn't do that again. I like to know if I've been overeating or eating too much salt ie water retention.
The only weigh-in that I really pay attention to, even with the above activities, is my weekly TOPS weigh-in on their scale with clothes added in.0 -
Once a week. Friday mornings. Same scale. Same 'outfit' (mine's birthday suit ;-)0

I try to stick to once a week, sometimes I'll check a day or two early/later.0
