You guys!! I’m hoping someone out there will come alongside me in this health journey for support and encouragement. I have no support at home. I feel my best at a certain weight so am trying to lose the last 20 lbs to reach my goal weight. That doesn’t sound like much but it has been a royal beast to lose due to a long recovery after a horrific car accident 2 years ago. I sure would appreciate someone walking the last leg of the journey with me!! Thanks friends!

Happy to jump in. I have about 60 to lose. (I want to look like my avatar picture again!) I think support is great. Get all you can. But one thing I'm realizing is this all up to me. Only I can do this. At some point, I have to learn to encourage myself, be my own support. That is a tough hurdle, but I think it is one worth achieving for more reasons than diet and weight.6

Support and encouragement is very important. I have had little encouragement on the home front since I started this journey, many times it’s been discouragement and sabotage. Although it’s been tough, I discovered the best cheerleader has been myself. I look for the small victories and keep going. At the moment I am struggling to loose the last 20lbs that just won’t budge.
Always looking for new friends that are wanting to mutually supporting each other. Feel free to add me.3 -
Glad to hear you are doing well with your recovery after your accident.💝 I’m restarting today in an attempt to lose 25 lbs, feel free to add me. Best of luck on your journey.2

Add me too. I’m always looking for people to keep me motivated. I don’t have a lot of support at home either and need the encouragement!1

I started my journey here on MFP back in March of this year but didn't start logging seriously until the end of March. I have a long road ahead of me but am proud of how far I have come so far! Always looking for new friends. Let's support and inspire each other!1

I don’t get any encouragement or support at home from hubby. I am not sure he’s even noticed.... he does eat what I put in front of him so I suppose that’s something 🤣
The ‘well done’ and ‘great job’ comments from the MFP community are worth their weight in gold.
We can do this 😁😁😁💪🏼❤️5 -

Hi. I completely understand! About two years ago lost 25 pounds using this app.i only had 5 more to go. It felt so good! I was so sure I would be able to do it and keep it off.
Fast forward a year... I was frequently experiencing pain in my hips, back, shoulders and neck. I was in a stressful situation at work. I started having GI issues. I had gained about 10 pounds back.
I started sliding quickly downhill.
In July I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (spinal arthritis). Since then I have been struggling with remaining active and emotional eating. During this time, I have tried getting back to tracking numerous times. I gave up and tried another fitness app. I realized how much more I like this one. I need to do this.
The one thing I know I need right now is motivation and support. As much as I would love to do it on my own, this time I am asking for help.
I am not giving up on self motivation (I just need a little extra nudge). This is my new daily mantra: "I can do this! I need to do this!"
I am sorry this is so long. (Thank you if you have read this far) Hopefully it helps to know what someone else is going through. We all have unique personal struggles. It is nice to be able to connect on a more "human" level.
Please include me. I promise I won't always be so wordy. 😉3 -
Feel free to add me! I had weight loss surgery 14.5 years ago and lost 100 lbs. One year later I was rear ended on the expressway. I sustained several injuries including my cervical and lumbar spines as well as my first TBI. I’ve kept off the weight but my physical challenges and chronic pain are getting in the way of losing the last 30-40 lbs. My goal is to be healthy and become as functional as possible. I’m super motivated - my daughter just announced the date of her wedding! I have 6-7 months to lose my weight before I HAVE to look for a dress. SO... I’m very open to suggestions from others who have or are kinda in my shoes. And I love new friends!3

I’m looking for motivation myself! I’ve been in a funk and I feel like no matter what I try, I fail.. so looking for some new people and maybe some new ideas! I’m as active as the app lets me!3
