I've tried a ton of them. I prefer the Labrada Lean Body Chocolate Ice Cream shake. At 180 calories, low carbs and high protein it makes me feel good :)

Rainbow Light Protein Energizer Vanilla my favorite and I love to mix it in coconut milk and add Chia seeds.

Gold Standard Optimum Whey. Lots of flavours, delicious, and has BCAA's and glutamine, both helpful supplements!

I either drink my Visalus shake or I drink Boost. I hate whey protein. Boost has 12 g protein and Visslus shake has 12g protein more if you mix it with milk or silk.

Syntha 6 is NUMMY but it is 200 cals for 1 scoop!! Thats the only thing I dont like about it...On the other end tho, gives you everything your body needs after a good hard workout!!

Understand on Cals, and agree - but I workout pretty hard, so the extra 50 cals are fine.

Its not really a big difference in the overall picture for a full day, since I generally only have one scoop a day. My husband has more, but he can afford the extra calorie room. :)

I don't mix it with anything, except water, and its filling as a meal replacement, so its a 200 cal breakfast. Sometimes I do add a bit of Almond milk to mix it up a bit.

If i wanted to mix my powders with other things (milk, fruit, etc) then certainly a lower cal option would be better. But for us, the main concern was easy to mix with water, and taste and protein content. (price also) so this work out as the best option.

I have tried some lower cal ones, and they just did not match well (for me) in other factors we want.

If I don't like a powder, or get bored, i find I stop using it. But for my goals, feel the extra protein is needed. My husband also uses it, and he is way more picky on taste and stirring ease, and Syntha is one he can work with.

It also comes back to everyone's individual needs and goals.

I like Now Foods Whey Protein Isolate. It's only 105 calories, 1 sugar and 25 g of protein. I use the unflavored variety in a smoothie in the morning and then mixed with almond milk and shaken up for an afternoon snack. It dissolves very easily and really doesn't impart any taste.

Gold Standard is the Whey to go. I've tried them all and my last batch was TEMPRO from Dorian Yates (Horrible after taste), now im back to GSOW.

Not to hijack this thread, but who here is a MIX MASTER when it comes to making your protein shakes? What do you add for flavor?

This is Optimum Nutrition Brand, right? That's what I use too and I love it.
