I have a awesome bottle of red wine chilling in the fridge that I want to make sangria out of. I have made basic sangria before - sliced limes, oranges, apples and a bit of pineapple....mix chill serve with lots of ice. I'm looking for a tried and true tasty recipe where you add in some liquor (brandy, grand marinier, chambord??) and maybe some juice to add an extra kick to it. Any suggestions????
Yep, can you tell I'm bored at work. And yep, I googled it...got some ideas but if anyone knows first hand of any tasty recipes feel free to share!!
Is this day over with yet?!?!?!??!?!?!?

This is my all-time FAVORITE Sangria recipe!!! I use Captain Morgan rum & cut down the sugar a bit (otherwise it's pretty sweet!). I throw in whatever kind of fruit I'm feeling like (apples, strawberries, ect). Very tasty & it's always a hit!

This is my favorite:
1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup frozen lemonade concentrate
1/3 cup orange juice
1 (750 milliliter) bottle dry red wine
1/2 cup triple sec
1 lemon, sliced into rounds
1 orange, sliced into rounds
1 lime, sliced into rounds
1/4 cup white sugar (optional)
8 maraschino cherries
2 cups carbonated water (optional)
I don't add the cherries, I use Ginger ale and don't add the sugar. This is the link: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/sangria-sangria/detail.aspx0 -
