    At times, I can't help but laugh, because I see these sizes and think, "Wow, people back in the day must have really been tiny."

    I was surprised too about portion sizes when I finally learned about them. It's engraved in our brains to think that a bagel the size of a baseball is perfectly normal and anything smaller is miniature. So when we do receive something smaller, we think we are hungry because we're used to a much bigger portion. It was so strange. People always tell me, "If you're hungry, eat!" But I suppose it's difficult knowing what I'm craving more rather than if I'm really hungry!
