Washington State. I live in the Great Pacific Northwest next to the mighty Columbia River in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. I live within 3 hrs of the coast WA and OR and within 2 hrs of Mt Hood. You have 4 seasons in the year. I know people that have been all over the US and this is where they choose to stay. Great place to live and raise kids.0

Kenai Peninsula Alaska - we're the warmest part of Alaska with great fishing in the summer and snowmaching (snowmobiling) and other snow sports in the winter. You'll never get bored with the weather - no two winters or summers are the same.0

I live in the SF bay area (won't give specific location here >_<).
I like where I live because it is filled with very well-educated, liberal, kind people. My teachers in high school would bring their pets into class and have them walk around the classroom on a regular basis and tell us about their lsd and marijuana experiences (in a good way haha). We would meditate in class and watch movies and my teachers walked around in flip flops and shorts.
My U.S. college is in a poorer area, and I don't like the city as much, BUT we have all-you-can-drink Jamba Juice at the cafeteria and legit all-you-can-eat sushi/steak etc. My teachers from cities like mine are really awesome, and just like my high school teachers, like our hw will be to protest haha. There are tooons of good jobs, and nice food
I love the weather, it's not crazy, just perfect. I love all the beautiful towns, nature, stuff to do...
I've never been to Texas (although I want to!), but I really love where I grew up and I have been to many states and most of my family lives back east. I highly recommend it here!! >_<
ps: In a matter of minutes (literally) you can be hiking in the mountains, the next surfing in the ocean, and then hitting a festival (constantly going on here) the next. I looove it >_<0 -
I live in Mass, in the New England area all my life.
Summers are WAY TOO humid and muggy. The snow hits HARD when it hits. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have lived out here previously.
My father is from MO which isn't all that far from Texas but the Dry heat is SOOO much nicer then the Humid heat we experience here in New England.0
