    Super congrats on your engagement!!
And welcome to MFP! I'm confident that you'll meet your fitness goals before your wedding. Make a list of short term goals (i.e. wanting to lose so and so lbs/inches by next month, by Christmas, 5 months from now, etc), keep good record of everything you eat (esp the cals) and make sure you eat your recommended amount of cals each day. MFP might not give you the most accurate assessment as to how many cals you should eat per day. Also, remain active. Find a workout program that you like and find a small group of people (either in person or online - or both) that will follow the program with you. It helps!! I'm doing at home programs right now, so this has been the key for me to keep pushing play (my support network). If you're interested in any at home DVDs, the most popular ones here are those by Beachbody (tons of Beachbody coaches here, including myself, that can help you with these and finding the right match) and those by Jillian Michaels - esp the 30 Day Shred (abbr. 30DS). So I encourage you to look around, ask around, and be as involved as you can with the site.

Add me as a friend! I'd love to be a part of your support team!
  • Hello and welcome to the myfitnesspal. Work out and exercise is the best advice I can give. I walk alot and it helps me loss weight. Learning that every move I make is part of my daily workout helps as well.
  • Hey, Congrats on the Wedding and welcome to fitness pal! What You need to do to start is create short term goals (To keep Motivated) E.x. lose 4-8lb in 4 weeks and have a diet set. Diet and Cardio is all you need to lose weight. For the diet i recommend a high protein, Moderate Carb and low fat diet (50% Protein, 30% carbs, 20% Fat of your total calories) Protein powders are a great way to get some extra protein grams in along with whole foods such as egg whites, chicken breast, turkey, fish, etc... Cardio should be around 3-4 times a week 30-45 min each session at a moderate speed (Usually 60% Max Heart Rate). Along with Cardiovascular training you can throw in some weight training exercises to help lose some extra calories and help shape your physique for the end results. If you have any questions msg me! Good Luck :)
