Help to stay on track

Hi, guys, I’m Teyla. I’m a teen who used to do cheerleading, dance, yoga and cardio. I loved my life. Then I went under the hill and started to struggle majorly in health. I have been temporarily taken outa school. I’m feeling much better now (all though possible surgery is to come) but over the time period I was sick I lost lot and lots of muscle and weight. Now that I started being active again I’m trying to put on a few more pounds. I recently got a feeding tube out but I still would like to add on a few HEALTHy pounds while still doing yoga at home and workouts by Sydney Cummings. Every morning I do at least 1 hr 30 minutes of Sydney cumming workouts than a little yoga. Does anyone have any ideas to help me put on a few more healthy pounds. Keep my weight up. And still look healthy and strong? Or any ideas to get back to my old normal life I used to love?

Hi Teyla! Im Katie, a college student in the opposite situation to you. In early high school I got an injury that led to me quitting sports and unfortunately gaining weight. If only I could donate some of my weight to you haha!
My advice would be to make sure you’re getting a lot of protein and healthy fats. Try foods like Greek yogurt, avocados, nuts, seeds, and lean meat/fish. Also, make sure you’re getting enough calories. The human body burns about 2000 calories a day just from the bodily processes that keep us alive. To gain weight you’ll need to eat more than 2000 calories each day.
I’ll send you a friend request and hopefully we can continue to share thoughts and advice throughout our weight changing journeys!0
