I have been battling some serious health issues this last year, but truly all my life. I’ve always been plump and going on crash diets. Now I struggle with hypothyroidism and iron deficiency anemia. I have managed to reverse diabetes, fatty liver and now I am tackling the remainder issues diligently. I decided to join my fitness pal to keep an eye on nutrients, calories and tweak the foods that end up hurting me in the long run. I pretty much live on youtube watching videos on health and exercise, my resistance bands and exercise bike have become my new best friends. I don’t really have a good support system at home, so I am soloing this as best as I can. So far I have lost 25lbs but it has taken me over a year to accomplish this. Still I am proud of that little bit and intend on moving forward with weight loss.

Thanks for reading! 💖🐝

Congratulations on reversing diabetes and fatty liver disease, that's a HUGE victory worth celebrating!!!

Those are the two health reasons that jolted me on my weight loss journey. My brother 5 years older than me almost lost his eyesight to diabetes and my sister 4 years older than me got diagnosed with fatty liver disease.

As for support systems besides mfp Community, I go to weekly meetings for women's eating issues at Celebrate Recovery that has totally helped as an oulet to voice my feelings instead of eat them. Google Celebrate Recovery for meetings near you if you're interested.
