I just found this challenge. I’m starting 2 days late on November 26.

    Starting weight: 184.0
    Ending weight: TBD
    Goal weight: 179.0

    November 26: 184.0
    November 27: 187.8
    November 28: 185.6
    November 29: 183.6
November 30: 182.4 Thanksgiving Dinner Feast tonight with family. I expect a gain on the scale tomorrow.
December 01: 187.4 I honestly ate child sized portions but I guess it adds up. My best figure is under 2300 but I did quick calories on MFP at 2350. I burned almost 2600 so I’m not sure I understand the gain when I know there was less calories in than out, but that’s carbs for ya! Okay so I am supposed to lose 5 pounds by Christmas and I gain 5 pounds overnight just by eating at maintenance! So I have my work cut out for me but I’m not a quitter so here goes nothing!
December 02: (Goal for 1st week: 183.0) Actual weight: 183.2 Yay! TMI potty helped tremendously as it had been a few days. So I have about made goal afterall and am pleased as punch! Now, to keep up the momentum!
December 03: 183.6 This must be a normal fluctuation. Everything was perfect yesterday-Calories, Carbs & Increased exercise. It will show up sooner or later because diligence always pays off.
December 04: 182.6 Very happy with the 1 lb loss. Travel & food tomorrow. Looking forward to all but the scale on the 6th!
December 05: Travel Day. Sitting during long drives. Shopping. Restaurants. However, what goes up must come down so no worries though I will dread the scale tomorrow. Yesterday was sloppy joes, baked beans & candy corn at a friend’s house. I should have ate it without the bun but I was starving.
    December 06: 186.6 After travel weigh-in
    December 07: 187.4 Birthday party today for DGS #4. He’s turning 2.
December 08: 188.4 No way to make the weekly goal.
December 09: (Goal for 2nd week: 182.0) Actual weight: 188.2
December 10: 188.8 Dinner at a friends. Chicken Alfredo pasta. Yikes! On a good note, I walked almost 21,000 steps yesterday and nearly 9 miles. Today I will be diligent and get back on track with the food plan!
December 11: 188.8 Decorating done. Wrapping marathon began last night. Its hard to do everything alone since my husband died. Its both a physical and an emotional challenge. I was not diligent after all last night. Today I will strive to be better.
December 12: 186.6 A nice Whoosh overnight after a very careful day of food planning. Very little movement and no exercising because of wrapping, wrapping, wrapping which continues to be ongoing. However, I’m proud I did well on my diet because I was HUNGRY all day! 1229 Calories is usually enough!
December 13: 184.0 Well there it is! Back to square one on my weight. I’ve lost 4.8 pounds in 3 days, does that count toward the 5 pounds? LOL, I think not! Okay, so the journey begins today. I don’t think 5 more pounds is possible, especially as we inch closer to the Holiday. And standing in one place all day wrapping, day after day, isn’t going to help the cause. But I will do what I can, when I can. I am, if nothing else, persistent.
December 14: 183.4 Better. Still no exercise. Still just wrapping. New fridge delivered today so I hauled a lot of food outside into the snowy weather to preserve, but otherwise, just standing in one place with scissors & tape in hand. Question: how many times can a person lose the scissors without even moving? Humph!
December 15: 183.6 Normal fluctuation. I had a very good day yesterday in regards to diet. Wrapped many more presents & worked putting food back into new fridge that was delivered. No time for any other movement or exercise but a good day overall. Today, However, I had an unexpected long trip out of town. Just arrived back home and dread the scale tomorrow because of my large lunch. No dinner necessary tonight, I will be full until tomorrow. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst tomorrow with my numbers.
December 16: Goal for 3rd week: 181.0 (Actual weight: 186.6) After travel weigh-in. It was a good lunch in the city, but not that good! More travel today, so again, lots of car sitting and lunch out. Tomorrow will not likely show any improvement.

Dang it. So close to nailing my goal this week. And honestly, although it sounds like an excuse, it has to be sodium even though that isn't showing up on my diary as being an issue. We went to a holiday gathering at the in-laws yesterday. I made and brought a cake so that I would be able to have some sort of treat and know exactly what's in it to record it properly. I adjusted to make room for it by having 4 ounces of ham with no bun, a very small serving of German potato salad (about 1.5 inches in diameter, so I guestimated it at an ounce), and my apple spice cake, supplemented later with a protein bar dinner-ish. I can only think that maybe the ham had more salt or other ingredients that bumped up the fat or calories higher than I guessed.

I came in below my calories for the day, which are only 1,200 to begin with, so I can't imagine what else could have caused me to jump a full pound overnight.

So, back at it. Back on the elliptical tonight and a visit with my nutritionist tomorrow. Something has to give and it ain't gonna be me.

    Week 2 Goal: 223
    December 3: 223.8
    December 4: 225.2
    December 5: 224.6
    December 6: 224.2
    December 7: 223.2
    December 8: 222.2
    December 9: 223.0
    Week 1 Loss: 0
    Total Loss: 2.3

    Week 3 Goal: 222
    December 10: 224.2
    December 11: 222.4
    December 12: 222.2
    December 13: 222.8
    December 14: 222.4
    December 15: 222.0
    December 16: 223.0

I'm not complaining too much. I just want my period to finally appear. I'm gonna be sad if I'm on my period at Christmas. I also seem to have picked up a cold at the Christmas market, bleh. Feeling a bit sorry for myself but happy for the drop today.

    Starting weight: 165, December 01
    Goal weight: 160

    December 1: 165 p.m. weigh in Goal for 1st week 160
December 2:162. Was 165 last night due to 5 days of piggish behavior.
December 3:160. Changing habits by increments. To start, only one slice of breakfast toast
    December 4: 160
December 5: 159 My mind convinced my gut that 2100 calories of nutritious food will keep me alive and sated.
December 6: 159 Not logging exercise deficits is working. I do some sort of exercise every day; sometimes extreme, sometimes not.
    December 7: 158 :p
    Goal for 2nd week: 160
December 8: 159 r&r this weekend, but staying with calorie goal. Fancy date roll was caloric treat, it was. I round the numbers, so stop freakin'
    December 9: 158
December 10: 158 disgusting hot links at 500 garbage calories. 300 calories over daily target.
December 11: 157 Burning through my energy allotment, but it's banking calorie deficits.
December 12: 160 Over my daily calorie target, but all healthy calorie fuel. cutting out breakfast toast for the next two weeks, more.
December 13: 158 Cut my calorie limit to 1900. Psych'ing my appetite out.
    December 14: 158 :p
December 15: 157, 156.8, actually. Burned through calories yesterday playing! Play hard; burn hard.
    December 16: 158
December 17: 157 Too easy. I'm moving on; going to another program.

Put down the tasties, turn off the t.v/computer/phone, and put down the tasties.

All you over 60s should be ashamed. Seriously.

Stop with the whiny excuses. Remember when we were young? Lean and mean? You know me; what would I do to your sad, fat, whiny self, even today? Get back to your 1970 selves. Do it.

Went up again with no clear reason why, but I met with my nutritionist and she offered some good ideas. First, she said not to drop my calories any lower, but rather stay between 1400 and 1200, which provides me some nice flexibility. She also recommended I switch up my breakfast to be protein-based instead of the 1/2 c. whole oats with sugar-free vanilla almond milk and 2 oz of blueberries I've been having every day for the past two months. Going to try to shake up lunch a little, too, and add a salad for an afternoon snack. Finally, even though errands have been eating up all my exercise time lately (but doing wonders for my step count), I am committing to exercising at least 15 minutes every day. No matter what else happens in the day, I can do at least that.

    So, onward!

December 17: 187.7 After travel weigh-in (again). From bad to worse! I’ve got to get a grip!

I've been yo-yo-ing between 155-160 during all of November. My original goal was to get to 145 by Christmas, but I don't think that is going to happen. So I'll settle with 150 and *hope* to reach it early.
