Making logging foods easier

Logging my foods is a really important part of my weight loss plan. I log in everything - including my water, exercise. How can I simplify this process?
For example- logging in a salad has so many items. Greens, tomato, avocado, cucumber etc etc. Any suggestions? What do others do?

So if it is a combination of things that you log all of the time...you could put it in under recipe and give it a name, like Loring's salad. I have done it with tuna salad...rather than log bread, tuna, pickle, etc.

Or save as a meal. When you select the meal all of the ingredients list in your diary and you can easily adjust, delete, or add. This is what I do for smoothies.

You can save it as a recipe, as suggested, or if you select one item it will list the other items frequently eaten with it. Then you just go down the list and click the options for that particular salad. A combination of these is how I log the complicated toppings on my steel cut oats - just type in the first letter of the recipe for the oats, which includes milk, steel cut oats, walnuts, and apples. Then selecting the recipe brings up Greek yogurt, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and so on, and I pick whichever I’m having that day. It’s much quicker than having to add each item separately. Adding spaghetti noodles brings up a list of marinara sauce, meatballs, salad mix, salad dressing, cottage cheese, and spinach, because I often eat some combination of these together.

It’s much quicker if you consistently eat the same volume of each food, so you don’t have to change the entry each time.

Well, what I just do is to create a meal and add all those ingredients there with the portion i use for it. And when i want to log in that meal next time but seems like i didn't use everything in the ingredients, i just edit it. Whether it is the ingredients or the portion of the meal.😊
