Starting Over

After many false starts, I decided to start my journey over with a fresh MFP account and am looking for active friends to help motivate and support me as I start over on Jan 2.

About me: 42, married, childfree, live/work in Philadelphia, foodie. I have PCOS and Hypothryoidism, so my diet trends lower carb and whole grain, but at the end of the day I subscribe to the "a calorie is a calorie" rule and have found success in following that.

I'd love to swap meal ideas, but I'm not looking for diary critique. I'm an omnivore. I'm also trying to start doing home workouts in January so would love to hear from you if you're a home workout person and what you do.

Add me if I sound like someone you want showing up on your feed!

Hey - I'm just getting back into fitness after taking a year off due to foot injury and to wallow in pre-menopausal hormone-induced mood swings. Hormones suck.

Some home workouts that have worked for me in the past (and that I've started doing again):

    - ChaLean Extreme (for resistance training)
    - I love Beach Body workouts, but they're not cheap... though if you're going to commit to them, there is a beachbody streaming channel you can subscribe to.
    - Running (try C25K app or Zombies, Run! app if you're interested)
    - Cycling
    - 30 days app on the phone
    - If you have Amazon Prime or Netflix - you can search for exercise videos of your choice. I use some yoga videos on Amazon Prime for stretching, but I'm pretty sure there are other types of vids out there.

    Good luck!

I just realized that I missed a notification of you commenting here. I had no idea there were exercise vids on Prime and Netflix. I definitely could do a LOT more stretching/yoga so I will check it out. Thanks!
