Hi,
I'm Chris. I downloaded the MyFitness app years ago and never used it. I've always focused on a number on a scale goal rather than the underlying reasons for why I want to feel and be healthy. I need to educate myself better on nutrition and the right amount of calories per day plus exercise are needed to help me attain and maintain my fitness goals. I need to prioritize time to do this despite a challenging daily schedule. I wish everyone well in their goals as well.

Hi, I'm Paula. I was fit and easily maintained my weight most of my adult life (after being heavy as a child and teen), but now that I've hit that "certain age", I've gained 10 lbs. I cannot get rid of and the things I always did before aren't working anymore. Since the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, I've decided to try and at least see a pattern of where my habits may need to be tweaked. Because of arthritis, I no longer do intense cardio or weight training. Instead, I do a lot of yoga (I teach) and bodyweight strength work, and I walk as much as possible, trying to log at least 10,000 steps a day -- more on the weekends. I work as a paralegal, so although I am bound to an office, I try to move as much as I can. The extra weight I've gained is settling in places I've never had issues with before -- my tummy and waist. If I can find the formula that works for me to get back to where I was, that would be amazing, but I will be happy just finding a way to halt the weight gain where it is. For my age, I still have a good body and a nice shape and I'd like to keep it that way!
Happy New Year to all!0
